Celebrate 150th Years of Heritage at the City of Richmond Hill’s Heritage Summit
As part of ongoing RH150 celebrations, City of Richmond Hill in partnership with the Richmond Hill Historical Society are hosting a free Heritage Summit.

Mix and Mingle (1-4 p.m.)
Stroll through the RHCPA’s lobby, hallways and the Plaza Suite where more than 25 organizations will showcase the roles they play in contributing to the City’s heritage. Learn what these organizations do to preserve our past by educating people about our history, customs and arts, protecting our natural or historic resources and carrying on our customs and traditions.
Evening Talk by Toronto historian and author Ted Barris (7-9:30 pm)

Enjoy a talk by Toronto historian and author Ted Barris in the RHCPA’s theatre. Ted will discuss the roles of Medics, Doctors and Nurses in WWI and II, with a Richmond Hill emphasis. The evening concludes with a presentation of heritage awards, including the Historical Society’s Bert Hunt Heritage Award.
